Programmer with Information Technology under the Support Services (Internal#77/2025)

Information Technology (IT) Department under support service division is responsible for setting up IT strategy, policy and governance, planning for both short- and long-term perspective, aligning to organizational strategy and growth plan. IT is overall responsible to maintain a healthy, stable, scalable and secured IT operational environment through constant review of capacity planning for IT infrastructure and enterprise architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

The Programmer will report to the Analysist Programmer, Information Technology (IT) and will be responsible for developing software applications and performing development work such as coding, testing, debugging, updating and maintaining software applications including Microsoft D365 ERP, writing database scripts, developing power BI report and providing software support across the organization. 

The position Programmer will be responsible for following duties and responsibilities:

• Software Application and Database: Develop, test, and implement web based new software and enterprise applications including Microsoft D365 ERP software by following software development lifecycle as a part of digital transformation of a specific business function; Design database using SQL Server and develop/customize applications using X++, C#, Angular, ASP.NET, .NET Core MVC, PHP, Web API following SDLC. Business process optimization and implement of new feature in Microsoft D365 ERP using Azure DevOps environment; Update application according to the new requirements; Write well-designed, testable code and maintain it for various software applications and databases and prepare detailed technical document of the design; Debug and troubleshoot existing code for existing applications; Resolve problem and incident management, adding new business requirements or customizing existing software application; Develop report using reporting tool, Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and/or database SQL; Provide advanced software support; Provide training to the end users in order to develop appropriate and organizational standard software application.
• Training: Prepare training material and conduct training to users on usage of software and associated devices in order to smooth functioning of the developed software application.
• IT Support: Collect feedback from users on existing software for any changes required; Make necessary changes; Provide continuous support for user queries in order to ensure smooth operation and continual improvement of the software application.

Required qualification and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Computer Science Engineering/Information & Communication Engineering or any relevant subject.
• 3 years of experience in the software development domain in a reputed organization, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and conduct field visits.
• Knowledge in developing application software using C#, Angular, ASP.NET, .NET Core MVC, Web API is highly desirable.
• Must have good knowledge in MS SQL Server database.
• Good knowledge in any popular code repository is a big plus.
• Proven experience in web application software development using widely adopted programming languages and tools.
• Knowledge of D365FO ERP system is a big plus.
• Knowledge of Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and X++ is desirable.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps is a big plus.
• Working knowledge with PHP is desirable.
• Prior knowledge in Spring boot is a big plus.
• Prior knowledge in Android application development will be preferred.

Location: Mohakhali Campus, Dhaka

Contract Type and duration:

• Fixed Term; duration will be 2 Year with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and performance.

Salary & benefits:

• Annual 954,830/- inclusive of house rent, conveyance allowances and other admissible benefits
• 14.8% provident fund contribution, income tax paid by icddr,b, children allowance @Tk.1,917/- per child per month, festival bonus, contributory healthcare support including dependent spouse and children, group life insurance, and subsidized canteen. Transport and day-care facilities are subject to space availability.
