Senior Research Officer with Maternal and Child Nutrition under the Nutrition Research Division (Internal#48/2026)

icddr,b is a Bangladesh-based international health research institute committed to addressing key public health challenges through high-quality research and innovation.

A research project aimed to conduct intervention trials and implementation research with an objective to reduce vulnerabilities relating to maternal, adolescent and childhood malnutrition, morbidity and mortality.

Position Description

The position holder will coordinate and manage implementation research activities of intervention trials, ensuring efficient support in line with organizational values and guidelines. The major areas of responsibility include:

• Plan, organize, and implement qualitative research activities as per research protocol.
• Lead qualitative data collection, including participants’ selection Monitor data quality through regular field visits.
• Review interview debriefings, summary, transcripts, observation notes and provide feedback to team members.
• Analysis and manage data.
• Prepare weekly update and share with PI.
• Provide input in drafting reports, presentations, and manuscripts.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor and Master's degree in Anthropology with an excellent academic track record (preferred CGPA 3.5).
• Minimum 5 years experience in qualitative research, including drafting manuscripts and reports, and leading research teams.
• Good publication records will be preferred.

Location: Mohakhali, Dhaka with extensive field visits.

Contract Type and duration:

Contractual Service Agreement (CSA) basis for 3 months with a possibility of extension subject to availability of fund and performance.

Salary & benefits:

• Tk. 83,547/-per month (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances;
• Festival bonus, income tax are paid by icddr,b including subsidized canteen food.
