Field Attendant with Emerging & Re-emerging Infections under the Infectious Diseases Division (Adv#71/2026)

icddr,b is a Bangladesh-based international health research institute committed to addressing key public health challenges through high-quality research and innovation. 

The Programme on Emerging & Re-emerging Infections under the Infectious Disease Division is working to establish a dynamic and strategic approach to support the MBDC unit of DGHS in country’s fight against TB. The solutions will be focused on defined priority areas – increased TB detection, decentralized DR-TB management, improving detection and management of child TB, expanded prevention, private sector engagement in TB, etc.  

The Field Attendant will directly report to the Programme Assistant. The major areas of responsibilities include:

• Conduct TB screening, identify presumptive cases, and ensure physician evaluation and testing;
• Facilitate treatment enrollment for diagnosed patients and follow up until completion;
• Conduct contact investigations, screening, testing, and support TPT implementation as per guidelines;
• Maintain TB data, records, reporting, and coordinate with relevant project components. 

Required qualifications and experience:

• H.S.C. passed or equivalent
• Minimum 1-year experience in the relevant field

• Rangpur, Rajshahi, & Sylhet Division

Number of Positions: 30 (Approx)

Contract Type and Duration:

• Short-Term; duration will be 3 months with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and performance.

Salary & benefits:

• Monthly Tk. 19,800/- (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances. Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidised canteen. Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
