The Virology Laboratory of the Infectious Diseases Division conducts high-quality research and provides technical support to ongoing projects and training programs. The laboratory works on a broad range of human and animal viral infections. Beyond viral research, the laboratory also studies clinically significant non-viral microorganisms.

Position Description:

The Programmer will report to the Analysist Programmer, Information Technology (IT) and will be responsible for developing software applications. The position holder will also be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and implement web-based new software and enterprise applications, including Microsoft D365 ERP software, by following the software development lifecycle as a part of the digital transformation of a specific business function;
• Design database using SQL Server and develop/customise applications using X++, C#, Angular, ASP.NET, .NET Core MVC, PHP, Web API following SDLC. Business process optimization and implement of new features in Microsoft D365 ERP using Azure DevOps environment;
• Update application according to the new requirements; Write well-designed, testable code and maintain it for various software applications and databases and prepare a detailed technical document of the design;
• Debug and troubleshoot existing code for existing applications; Resolve problem and incident management, adding new business requirements or customizing existing software application; Develop a report using reporting tool, Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and/or database SQL;
• Provide advanced software support; Provide training to the end users in order to develop appropriate and organizational standard software applications.
• Collect feedback from users on existing software for any changes required;
• Make necessary changes; Provide continuous support for user queries in order to ensure smooth operation and continual improvement of the software application.

Required qualification and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Science & Engineering/Information & Communication Engineering or a relevant subject.
• 3 years of experience in the software development domain, including web and Android applications in a reputed organization.
• Must have good knowledge in developing application software using PHP, C#, Angular, ASP.NET, .NET Core MVC, and Web API, including MS SQL Server database.
• Good knowledge in D365FO ERP platform, Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), X++, Azure DevOps and Spring Boot is highly desirable.

Location: Mohakhali Campus, Dhaka

Contract Type and Duration:

• Fixed Term; duration will be 01 Year with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and performance.

Salary & Benefits:

• Annual salary of Tk.10,02,570/- inclusive of house rent, conveyance allowances and other admissible benefits, including provident fund contribution, income tax paid by icddr,b, children's allowance, festival bonus, contributory healthcare support, group life insurance, and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
