Programme Officer with Emerging & Re-emerging Infections under the Infectious Diseases Division (Adv#80/2026)
icddr,b is a Bangladesh-based international health research institute committed to addressing key public health challenges through high-quality research and innovation.
The Programme on Emerging & Re-emerging Infections under the Infectious Disease Division is working to establish a dynamic and strategic approach to support the MBDC unit of DGHS in country’s fight against TB. The solutions will be focused on defined priority areas – increased TB detection, decentralized DR-TB management, improving detection and management of child TB, expanded prevention, private sector engagement in TB, etc.
Key Responsibilities
The Programme Officer will report to the Project Coordinator. The major areas of responsibilities include:
- Supervise and guide field teams to ensure effective implementation and quality data collection;
- Cooperate in programme planning and distribute training materials, logistics, and project resources;
- Coordinate with government officials, NTP authorities, and key stakeholders;
- Monitor project performance, data quality, timelines, and provide technical support to staff;
- Prepare reports, share findings with project leadership, and coordinate with MEL teams for continuous improvement.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Masters in any discipline;
- 4 years of working experience in the field of development programs. Experience in TB program implementation will be an added advantage.

Contract Type and duration:
- Short-Term; duration will be 3 months with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and performance.
Salary & Benefits:
- Monthly Tk. 66,040/- (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances. Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
