M & E Officer with Emerging & Re-emerging Infections under the Infectious Diseases Division (Adv#81/2026)

icddr,b is a Bangladesh-based international health research institute committed to addressing key public health challenges through high-quality research and innovation.

The Programme on Emerging & Re-emerging Infections under the Infectious Disease Division is working to establish a dynamic and strategic approach to support the MBDC unit of DGHS in country’s fight against TB. The solutions will be focused on defined priority areas – increased TB detection, decentralized DR-TB management, improving detection and management of child TB, expanded prevention, private sector engagement in TB, etc. 

Key Responsibilities 

The M & E Officer will report to the Senior Manager, M&E. The major areas of responsibilities include:

• Monitor and evaluate project activities to ensure quality implementation;
• Ensure systematic collection, validation, and reporting of project data from implementation areas;
• Track project performance against targets and key indicators;
• Conduct data quality assessments and support data cleaning and verification;
• Implement project activities as per the work plan and program requirements;
• Coordinate with field-level staff and partner staff to ensure accurate and complete reporting;
• Conduct routine field monitoring visits. 

 Required qualifications and experience:

• Masters in any discipline;
• 4 years of working experience in the field of development programs. Experience in M&E will be an added advantage.

Number of Position: 01

Contract Type and duration:

• Short-Term; duration will be 6 months with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and performance.

Salary & Benefits: 

• Monthly Tk. 66,040/- (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances. Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
