Senior Data Management Assistant with Environmental Health and WASH under the Health Systems and Population Studies Division (Internal#97/2026)

Environmental Health and WASH Research Group within the Health Systems and Population Studies Division, conducting a comprehensive health assessment of adolescent girls and women in hard-to-reach communities of Bangladesh. The study involves managing a large dataset that includes multiple rounds of data on population health and common diseases in hard-to-reach areas of Bangladesh.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Data Management Assistant will report directly to the Senior Research Officer (SRO) and be responsible for providing day-to-day support for data collection, management, and visualization. The major areas of responsibility include:

• Design, develop, and maintain a centralized dashboard for real-time tracking of health camp activities across Bangladesh;
• Monitor health camp performance in real-time, including the number of camps conducted, patient visits, and interventions provided;
• Manage and maintain a database containing records from health camps and 30,000+ patients across hard-to-reach areas of Bangladesh.

Required qualifications and experience:

• BSc in Computer Science/Statistics/information and communication engineering or any other relevant subject;
• 2 years' of relevant experience;
• Working experience in website development for real-time dashboard using React.js/Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and Redux for real-time data management;
• Experience in API development and backend technologies such as Node.js or Python (FastAPI) for managing patient data systems;
• Proficiency in MySQL database design and management, including schema design, query optimization, and handling large-scale data systems.

Contract Type and duration:

Short-Term; duration will be 6 months with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and performance.

Salary & benefits:

• Monthly Tk. 50,267/- (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances.
• Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen;
• Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
