Senior Field Assistant with Non-Communicable Diseases under the Nutrition Research Division (Adv#109/2026)

The NIHR Global Health Research Centre for Non-Communicable Diseases and Environmental Change in Bangladesh will evaluate lowering the risk of cardiovascular and chronic kidney diseases in selected coastal communities of Khulna and Satkhira districts by reducing drinking water salinity through strengthening primary healthcare services for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).

Position description and Key Responsibilities

The Senior Field Assistant will report to the Field Research Officer and conduct field research activities in accordance with project protocols and organizational guidelines.

• Conduct household visits and collect study data using a tablet (TAB);
• Measure blood pressure and anthropometric indicators of study participants;
• Mobilize participants and communities to facilitate study implementation;
• Maintain field records and report progress to the supervisor;
• Perform other project-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum HSC or equivalent;
• Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience in health research;
• Experience in tablet-based data collection and working in hard-to-reach, preferably coastal areas.

Duty Station: Khulna (Koyra) and Satkhira (Assasuni).

Number of Position: 15 Posts

Contract Type and duration: Contractual Services Agreement basis (CSA); duration will be 3 months with a possibility of extension, subject to availability of funds and performance.

Salary & benefits:

• Tk. 33,397/- per month (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances;

• Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen; Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
