Field Assistant with Immunobiology, Nutrition & Toxicology under the Nutrition Research Division (Internal#127/2026)

The Immunobiology, Nutrition and Toxicology under the Nutrition Research Division conducts multiple research projects. Among the ongoing studies, the Shigella Conjugate Vaccine study evaluates the protective efficacy, immunogenicity and safety of S. Flexneri-S. Sonnei bivalent conjugate vaccine against diarrhea caused by Shigella infection in 6 months to 5 years old children.
Key Responsibilities:
The Field Assistant will report to the Supervisor/Field Research Officer and will be mainly responsible for supporting project implementation. The specific areas of responsibility include:
- Visit study sites as per the plan of the supervisor;
- Support enrolment of eligible study participants;
- Receive and ensure proper handling of clinical specimens;
- Collect clinical and socio-demographic information from study participants;
- Ensure proper labelling, storage, and transportation of specimens to the Laboratory;
- Maintain study-related records of the project;
- Perform other project-related activities as assigned by the Supervisor.
Required qualifications and experiences:
- SSC or equivalent;
- At least 1 year of experience in relevant field;
- Candidates with working experience in vaccine trail will be given preference.
Location: Project field sites (Mirzapur, Tongi, Mirpur and Korail)
Number of Positions: 8 posts
Contract Type and Duration:
Short Term, Contractual Services Agreement basis (CSA); duration will be 6 months with a possibility of extension, subject to availability of funds and performance.
Salary & Benefits:
Tk. 29,308/- per month (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances; Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
