Field Attendant with Immunobiology, Nutrition & Toxicology under the Nutrition Research Division (Internal#128/2026)

The Immunobiology, Nutrition and Toxicology under the Nutrition Research Division conducts multiple research projects. Among the ongoing studies, the Shigella Conjugate Vaccine study evaluates the protective efficacy, immunogenicity and safety of S. Flexneri-S. Sonnei bivalent conjugate vaccine against diarrhea caused by Shigella infection in 6 months to 5 years old children.
Key Responsibilities:
The Field Attendant will report to the Field Research Officer/Supervisor and conduct field research activities in accordance with project protocols and organizational guidelines:
- Conduct field site visits and strictly adhere to the study schedule;
- Collect, process, and transport biological specimens while ensure sample integrity and chain of custody;
- Guide participants through home visits, sample collection, and protocol-compliant medication administration;
- Manage and safely transport field supplies, materials, and liquid nitrogen tanks;
- Document and report field irregularities or protocol issues to the supervisor;
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless field operations.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Minimum HSC or equivalent;
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the relevant field
- Candidates with working experience in vaccine trail will be given preference
Duty Station: Project field sites (Mirzapur, Tongi, Mirpur and Korail)
Number of Position: 30 Posts
Contract Type and duration: Contractual Services Agreement basis (CSA); duration will be 6 months with a possibility of extension, subject to availability of funds and performance.
Salary & benefits:
- Tk. 19,800/- per month (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances;
- Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen; Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
