Senior Research Assistant with the Maternal, Newborn and Child Health under the Maternal and Child Health Division (Internal#133/2026)

The Senior Research Assistant will be recruited for the Maternal and Child Health Division to support a randomized controlled trial in the Rohingya community of Cox’s Bazar. The study will assess the effectiveness of and adherence to a new intervention model through engagement with multiple stakeholders at the Rohingya community and health system levels.

The Senior Research Assistant will report to the Assistant Scientist and will be responsible for collecting and processing data, conducting weekly stakeholder meeting, and providing technical support for scientific report writing, in accordance with the research protocol and organization's values and guidelines. 

S/he will be involved in the following activities:

• Provide input to the Principal Investigator (PI) in creating research design and methodology to achieve the study objectives;
• Maintain the coordination between the central team and field team;
• Organize interviews and stakeholder feedback;
• Conduct surveys, IDIs, KIIs, and FGDs as per study protocols;
• Transcribe and translate audio recordings and manage qualitative data;
• Provide input to the research team in data analysis, including coding, synthesis, and interpretation of findings;
• Provide input to the team in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing study reports and related outputs;
• Maintain accurate field documentation and ensure compliance with research procedures;
• Prepare project reports, presentations, and scientific documents as needed.

• Master's degree in Anthropology from a reputed institution with an excellent academic record;
• At least 3 years of experience in the relevant field; 
• Experience in coordinating field activities in Rohingya Camps;
• Skills in qualitative data collection, analysis, and stakeholder engagement;
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills. 

Location: Dhaka

• Short-Term Contractual Service Agreement (CSA) basis for 3 months with a possibility of extension, subject to the availability of funds and performance.

• Tk. 50,267/- per month (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances;
• Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen; Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
