Position description
The Data Collector will be recruited for the Maternal, Newborn and Child Health under the Maternal and Child Health Division to support a randomized controlled trial in Narayanganj district. The study will evaluate the effect of oral Tranexamic acid (TXA) versus placebo during menses over 12 months on Hemoglobin (Hb) concentration and menstrual health-related quality of life at 12 months post-randomization in Bangladeshi adolescent girls with self-reported Heavy Menstrual Bleeding (HMB).
The Data Collector will report to the Field Research Assistant and will be responsible for screening participants and collecting data, conducting weekly stakeholders meeting and providing support to the research in accordance with the research protocol and organization's values and guidelines.
She will be involved in the following activities:
- Listing of households;
- Searching and Screening of study participants;
- Collect data through Questionnaire/Tab;
- Liaise with community people;
- Solve field problem.
Required qualification and experience:
- Minimum SSC or equivalent passed;
- Previous experience in data collection is preferred.
Location: Rupganj, Sonargaon, Araihazar and Bandar Upazila of Naryanganj district
Number of positions: 20
Contract Type and duration:
- Short-Term Contractual Service Agreement (CSA) basis for 6 months with a possibility of extension, subject to the availability of funds and performance.
Salary & benefits:
- Tk.12,630/-per month (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances;
- Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen; Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
